CHILDREN'S BALL: The Children's Ball, "A Night on the Nile," hosted by Community Services for Children, will be 6-11 p.m. Sept. 7 at Lehigh Country Club. The event includes a reception, dinner, dancing to the Simon Apple Band and an auction. The event supports abused babies by benefiting the SafeStart Program. GOLF AND TENNIS: The Good Shepherd Golf & Tennis Invitational for Pediatrics will be held Sept. 9 at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace course. Gerald Nau, chairman and CEO of Lafayette Ambassador Bank, is tournament chairman. The tournament benefits the Good Shepherd Pediatrics Program, which provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for children with autism, developmental delays or physical disabilities, or those who are recovering from accidents, injuries or illnesses.
