ANNOUNCEMENT OF AVAILABLE VACANCY

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

An Athletic Director position is available in the Nazareth Area School District.  The Athletic Director is responsible for the planning, direction and supervision of all programs, personnel and activities associated with the Nazareth Area School District Interscholastic Athletic / Student Activities programs. Responsible for the overall athletic budget.

Qualifications:
·         Certifications:  Must hold a PA certificate as a teacher, supervisory certification preferred and Principal’s certification suggested.  National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators’ Association (NIAAA) status as a Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) and/or a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) suggested.
·         Knowledge of PIAA rules and regulations; excellent organizational & communication skills.
Experience:
·         Experience in the K-12 school system on a professional level.  Minimum 5 years’ experience as a coach in an interscholastic sport.

Terms of Employment:  Central Administration, 12 mos., Act 93.  Salary will be commensurate with experience.  Applicants must submit a Pennsylvania Standard Teaching Application, letter of interest, resume, copy of PA teaching certificate, Act 34 and 151 Clearances, FBI Background Check, three letters of reference, and copy of college transcripts to Human Resources, One Education Plaza, Nazareth, PA 18064.  Additional paperwork would be required, if hired.
