Zach Werner beat a Bath team without seven of its starters on Friday evening, but the East Stroudsburg right-hander wasn't about to apologize. Nor should he.
Werner twirled a tidy one-hitter in East Stroudsburg's 1-0 win over previously unbeaten Bath in a Northampton County Baseball Legion League contest at Ciff Cowling Field.
East Stroudsburg, which entered the evening tied with Birches in the North Division standings, improved to 9-2. Bath dropped to 8-1.
