FROM KEITH GROLLER
HANNAH EDWARDS, CATASAUQUA
Catasauqua softball coach Bob Thomas calls Hannah Edwards “the difference maker.”
Edwards, a speedy freshman right fielder, has gotten her scholastic career and Catty’s season off to outstanding starts.
Through Wednesday, she was hitting .727 with an on-base percentage of .750. She scored 13 runs and swiped 11 bases in helping the Rough Riders get out to a 4-2 start overall, 4-1 Colonial League.
“She sets the tone and the rest of the girls follow her lead,” Thomas said. “We haven’t had a leadoff hitter like her, especially for her being a freshman and possessing such a great knowledge of the game. You couldn’t ask for a better kid. She does exactly what you ask her to do every time.”
