Nazareth Area High School teammates Carter Taylor and Andrew McFarland have traded off the No. 1 spot all season in both the 110-meter high and 300-meter intermediate hurdles.

Taylor and McFarland were in virtual lockstep again today in the 300 intermediates at the ASD Invitational Track & Field meet at J. Birney Crum Stadium. Taylor edged his teammate by a step in one of the invitational's highlight events.

Both Blue Eagles ran career bests with Taylor being timed in 39.22 seconds and McFarland in 39.34.
