SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – In its final non-league game of the 2013 regular season, the Lehigh baseball team lost to Seton Hall 17-7. The Brown and White enter their final four games of the year with an 18-25 record after the contest and the Pirates improve to 22-16.
Seton Hall took a quick 5-0 lead in the first inning after drawing three walks and stealing three bases against sophomore starter Josh Flyer. The inning also featured a two-out, two-run double by Tyler Boyd.
Lehigh charged back in the top of the third inning after sophomore Justin Pacchioli made Anthony Elia pay for a leadoff walk by hitting his fifth triple of the season to drive in junior Brandon Wilt. Senior Casey Turner followed up with an RBI single and came home on a groundout by freshman Mike Garzillo. A throwing error by Seton Hall first baseman Sal Annunziata also brought junior Joe Abeln around to score from second to narrow the Pirates’ lead to 7-4.
