Steelhawks' Adam Bednarik honored as an Indoor Football League player of week

Bethlehem Catholic grad Adam Bednarik continues to make his mark with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks of the Professional Indoor Football League.
In a release made today, the PIFL league announced that Bednarik (West Virginia) and placekicker George Pierson (Kansas State) were selected as the Week Three Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week respectively for their efforts in the team’s 44-22 victory over the Louisiana Swashbucklers.
Bednarik was 27 of 35 passing for 287 yards and four touchdowns and had a rushing TD.
Bednarik is second in the PIFL passing through three games for the 2-1 Steelhawks.
He has completed 62 of 85 passes for 705 yards with 11 touchdown and just one interception.
He has also run for 29 yards and three scores.
The Steelhawks are off for two weeks and then play a road game at Richmond on April 13 before returning home on April 20 for a game against the Alabama Hammers.
