PIAA basketball championship recap: Shouldn't be a lot of moaning about private/charter schools dominating

It was great to be back at the state championships. I had covered the finals for about 16 straight years from 1994-2009, but had gotten away from it the last three years.
But coming back to Hershey brought me back, and, it also seemed to bring a lot of people back since more than 24,000 fans showed up for the weekend. PIAA officials were pleased.
Everybody always looks at who won the titles and this year we shouldn't have a lot of rancor about the private/charter schools dominanting since only three won titles compared to five public schools.
The Philadelphia and Pittsburgh schools continued to dominate with District 7 and 12 combining for five titles and suburban Philly picking up two more.
The only truly rural school to win a title was Tri-Valley out of District 11.
