ALLENTOWN ST. PATRICK'S PARADE COMMITTEE will host a house decorating/porch party contest and a business decorating/office party contest in conjunction with the 56th Allentown St. Patrick's Parade to be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17. Prizes will be awarded immediately following the parade to the best decorated house, best porch party, best decorated business and best office party along the parade route. The parade will form at the Allentown Fairgrounds track near Liberty and 17th streets and proceed west on Liberty Street, north on 19th Street, west on Tilghman Street, south on 25th Street and east on Liberty Street. CRIME VICTIMS COUNCIL OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, 801 Hamilton St., Suite 300, Allentown, is accepting orders for its annual spring plant sale until Thursday, March 14. Plant selections from Hickory Grove Greenhouses include: tulips, daffodils, hydrangeas, hyacinths, daisies, pansies, crocuses and violets. Plants will be available for delivery or pick-up on Tuesday, March 26. Orders of 10 plants or more to one location can be delivered free of charge.
