Daytona 500 Gives Fox Increased Overnight Ratings-  Fox Sports reports that the viewership for yesterday’s Daytona 500 was up 30% over last year.  The overnight rating for the race came in at 10.0, up from 7.7 in 2012.  The rating was the best year-to-year increase among the metered markets for Daytona 500 ever and the best overnight rating for the Daytona 500 since 2006 on NBC (10.1/20).
NBA Action This Week on ESPN-  ESPN will once again have a NBA double header both Wednesday and Friday of this week.  Wednesday at 8:00p.m. ET MArk Jones and Doris Burke will call the Warriors at Knicks.  At 10:30p.m. ET the Nuggets take on the Trailblazers with Terry Gannon and Jon Barry at the mic.  Friday at 8:00p.m. the Grizzlies take on the Heat with Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and Lisa Salters.  At 10:30p.m. ET Mike Tirico and Jon Barry will call the Thunder at the Nuggets.
Baseball Tonight Express Tour Continues on ESPN-  ESPN will continue its preview of the 2013 MLB season as its Baseball Tonight Express Tour continues.  Tim Kurkjian and John Kruk will be reporting this week based ont he following schedule:

CBS Sports Network has Big East Women’s Double Header Tomorrow-  The CBS Sports Network will televise a double header tomorrow night featuring two women’s Big East games.  At 7:00p.m. ET Syracuse takes on Notre Dame with Brent Stover and Debbie Antonelli on the call.  At 9:00p.m. ET James Bates and Tammy Blackburn will call Georgetown at DePaul.
ESPN Sells UK and Irish Channels- ESPN announced today that it has sold its UK and Irish television channels to the BT Group.  The channels comprise the ESPN and ESPN America channels and broadcasts of the FA Cup, Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League, UEFA Europa League, and the German Bundesliga. The deal is expected to complete on July 31, 2013 after which BT will continue to operate at least one ESPN-branded channel which is expected to form part of the BT Sport TV package that will be launched by BT this summer.
HBO To Produce New Behind-the-Scenes Boxing Show-  HBO Sports announced today the production ofCornered, short features of those who impact the sport of boxing who do not fight in the ring.  The first episode will be Cornered: Michael Buffer, with all-access to the legendary ring announcer.  Cornered: Michael Buffer will debut Tuesday, March 5th at 10:15p.m. ET.
SportsGrid Acquired by RotoExperts-  Fantasy sports provider RotoExperts announced today it has acquired SportsGrid.com, the sports news and opinion site from The Abrams Media Network.  RotoExperts expects the new entity to provide timely, reliable coverage of both fantasy and sports news while developing and delivering new apps and games for the fantasy industry.
