Tyler Kohl has re-enrolled at Notre Dame-Green Pond

http://blogs.mcall.com/groller/ FROM KEITH GROLLER Tyler Kohl, who made his mark as one of the rising stars in high school boys basketball two years ago when he averaged 16.8 points per game as a freshman at Notre Dame, has re-enrolled at the school adjacent to Green Pond Country Club. Crusaders coach Pat Boyle confirmed that news after Notre Dame's 62-44 win over Saucon Valley early Friday night. Kohl was a first-team Colonial League all-star selection for Notre Dame in the 2010-2011 season when he scored 33 points in an overtime win over Salisbury. He has spent the last two years at the Perkiomen School in Pennsburg where his grandmother wanted him to work on improving his classroom work. "His grandmother wanted him to go away and get settled, but we knew he'd come back to our school at some point," Boyle said. "He was at our camp this past summer. He looks a little taller than he was two years ago. He's probably about 6-5 now and he looked real good at our camp." Boyle said that he has talked to Kohl at school, but at the present time there are no plans to have him join the current Crusaders team. Notre Dame is 11-7 now and would be even more formidable with Kohl in the lineup. Kohl has already received interest from Division I schools. "Technically, he'd be eligible to play, but there's only two weeks left in the regular season," Boyle said. "We're going to meet with him, and I don't think he'll play this year. But he sure makes us, uh, interesting, for next year."
