The reaccreditation was granted based on a rigorous site survey conducted by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation. Pocono Medical Center's trauma center is dedicated to providing world-class trauma care to every patient, every day. Throughout the commonwealth, there are 30 accredited trauma centers and Pocono Medical Center is the only Level III Trauma Center. Pocono is the only accredited program in Monroe County, serving more than 169,882 people. The responsibilities of the program include the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the trauma patient to ensure compliance with all state and national standards. Pocono Medical Center's Trauma Center began treating patients on Nov. 1, 2008, when it received its initial one-year accreditation. Pocono's trauma team cares for more than 1,100 trauma cases per year. Hollenbach Construction achieves 2012 ABC safety designation Hollenbach Construction Inc. has achieved the silver level of Associated Builders and Contractors prestigious Safety Training and Evaluation Process program for 2012. To achieve the silver level, among other requirements, a company must submit an analysis of its safety program, including its safety rules, toolbox safety meetings, use of personal protective equipment, record-keeping, accident investigation and new employee orientation. Hollenbach has achieved this national safety designation from Associated Builders and Contractors more than 15 times. Nazareth Chamber office holds grand opening The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of its fifth location, 18 S. Main St., Nazareth, on Oct. 22, with community members, business leaders and Chamber members in the circle in downtown Nazareth. The ribbon was held by the new Nazareth Business Council's board members and Paul Luongo, of Merchant's Bank and founding president, cut the ribbon.
