Lafayete scored on its first three possessions, getting a combined three touchdown passes from Andrew Shoop and Zach Zweizig, and has a 21-17 lead at halftime of the 148th meeting between the local rivals at Fisher Stadium in Easton.
Lehigh has not been without its own offensive production as Mike Colvin has thrown TD passes to Lee Kurfis and Ryan Spadola. The scoring toss to Kurfis covered 75 yards.
But Colvin has also thrown two interceptions, one that set up Lafayette's first touchdown and another that negated a potential go-ahead drive just before halftime
Overall, Lehigh has 248 yards on offense, Lafayetete has 227. The Leopards wasted a couple of scoring opportunities themselves, including one on a blocked field goal.
Colvin is 16-for-25 passes for 217 yards.
