October is Breast Cancer Awareness month…a month in which we encourage those that continue to fight the disease, honor those that have lost the battle, and continue our efforts so that a cure can be found. Each year, 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, and statistics show that 50% of those women turn to the American Cancer Society for help. Today we are asking you to join Nazareth in an effort to provide the American Cancer Society with more power to fulfill their mission of educating, inspiring, and giving cancer patients the courage they need! On Saturday in Bethlehem, PA, the Making Strides Walk will take place at 10 AM behind the Hotel Bethlehem. There will be tents, food, entertainment, and activities for the kids. The event is a picturesque 3.1 mile walk through downtown Bethlehem, with teams there supporting the fight against Breast Cancer. We would like staff from Nazareth the join us on Saturday to show our PINK PRIDE and walk!!! To join our Blue Eagles Team, Please go to our site and register today! You can join our team by simply donating $1. That’s it. If you would like to volunteer that day, we would love your help. Susan Bostian is assisting with coordinating volunteers for the walk that day, so please contact her directly before Thursday if you ‘d like to help that day. Please feel free to wear your Nazareth PINK that day as well! We are hoping to have the largest team there…and make sure that all the other districts know that Nazareth makes a difference!!!!
