Easton, Whitehall football teams meet in LVC showdown

Parkland had pounded the Red Rovers the week before. Easton already had two league losses. No one had beaten the Zephyrs. Easton responded with an inspired first half to open a 13-point lead, then pulled out a 34-33 overtime win that turned its season around. The Red Rovers won nine straight games before losing to Nazareth in the District 11 4A final, a run that turned a group that began last season with limited varsity experience into the overwhelming favorite to win the Lehigh Valley Conference in 2012.
