http://sportsmediajournal.com/ NFL Network Gets Viewership Record for Thursday Night Football- Last night’s Bears/Packers NFL Network opener was watched by an average of 8.6 million viewers, the most-watched opener in the seven years the network has televised NFL games. That number is 62% over last year’s opener between the Raiders and Chargers. Michael Vick Feature on NFL Today- This Snday on The NFL Today pregame show on CBS, James Brown is slated to sit down with Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. Coverage starts at Noon ET with Brown hosting along with Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason, Shannon Sharpe and Bill Cowher. Also on the show will be NFL TODAY Insider Jason La Canfora and reporter Leslie Visser. Scully to be Interviewed on CBS Sunday Morning- Legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully will interviewed during this Sunday’s CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood broadcast. Reporter Lee Cowan sat down with Scully to look back at his 63 years behind the mic. CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood airs Sunday at 9:00a.m. ET. Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel Returns Tuesday- HBO Sports will produce its next edition of Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel this Tuesday at 10:00p.m. ET/PT. On the next episode will be an interview with Magic Johnson, a look at fan-on-fan violence, what some Olympians do after the closing ceremony, and the re-birth of scholastic sports in Columbus, OH. Coaches vs. Cancer Slate Set- truTV will be the television home of this fall’s Coaches vs. Cancer Classic to be held in November in Brooklyn, NY. The semifinals will take place on Friday, November 16th beginning at 7:00p.m. ET with Brigham Young taking on Florida State, followed by Notre Dame and St. Joseph’s. The consolation and championship games will be played November 17th beginning at 7:00p.m. ET. ESPN2 and ESPN3 has Two Premier League Matches- The Premier League returns to ESPN2 Saturday and Monday as Norwich City takes on West Ham United Saturday at 7:40a.m. on ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes. Monday at 2:55p.m. Everton vs. Newcastle United will do battle on ESPN2, ESPN3, and ESPN Deportes. talkSPORT Programming to Air on SiriusXM- talkSPORT, Global Audio Partner of the Barclays Premier League, has signed a new agreement with Sirius XM Radio to broadcast talkSPORT talk shows plus talkSPORT Live Barclays Premier League and FA Cup play-by-play coverage throughout the 2012/2013 season. The talkSPORT programming will be made available on Sirius channel 92 and XM channel 207.
