KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 14397 will hold a spaghetti dinner charity fundraiser 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, 18th and Turner streets, Allentown. The menu includes: spaghetti, meatballs, salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverages. The cost is $9 for adults; $4 for ages 6-12; and free for children under 6. Take-out dinners are available. Tickets will be available at the door, but reservations are suggested by calling Tom at 610-751-1994. Tickets may also be purchased after masses on Sundays, Sept. 16, 23 and 30.
SALISBURY TOWNSHIP fall curbside branch collection will be held Monday, Sept. 17 through Friday, Sept. 21. Residents should place the branches at the curb after 6 p.m. tonight, Sept. 16. Branches may be no longer than five-feet long and five-inches in diameter. Branches should be bundled and tied with twine. Open containers (no lids) can be used for small branches.
DaVINCI SCIENCE CENTER, 3145 Hamilton Blvd. Bypass, South Whitehall Township, will premiere its new public program experience, Brainstorm Forums, with a forum on global climate change 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18. The program is free and open to ages 12 and older. Adopting a model developed by the Nurture Nature Center in Easton and funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, the DSC Brainstorm Forums will allow participants to make suggestions that will be provided to decision makers in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey.
