Nazareth police chief asks for more full-time officers

At tonight’s borough council police committee meeting, Councilman William Matz rebuffed a request from Chief Thomas Trachta for three additional full-time officers and a full-time supervisor to oversee the department when he’s not there. “The system has not produced anything near a quality force. It’s been a troublemaker for everybody,” Matz said.
