http://sportsmediajournal.com/ ESPN Reports Improved Wimbledon Ratings- ESPN has released updated viewership information on its exclusive coverage of Wimbledon. Through July 4th ESPN recorded an average audience of 727,000 viewers, up 24% from 2011. Ratings averaged 0., up 20% from a year ago. More people have been viewing the tournament online, with 72.1 million live minutes of viewing across all platforms, up 86 percent compared to the same point in 2011. Greenbriar Classic PGA Event on CBS- The next stop on the PGA Tour, the Greenbriar Classic. will air this weekend on CBS. Coverage on Saturday and Sunday begins at 3:00p.m. ET. Jim Nantz serves as anchor with Sir Nick Faldo as lead analyst. Ian Baker-Finch calls the action at the 17thhole and Gary McCord at the 16th hole. David Feherty and Peter Kostis will be the on-course reporters. Greenbriar to Host Next Edition of Big Break- The Golf Channel has announced that the next edition of its Big Break series will originate from the Greenbriar resort. Big Break Greenbrier was produced last month and will air beginning on October 2nd. The winner will receive an exemption to The Greenbrier Classic in July 2013, cash and other prizes. Featherweight Battle on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights Tonight- The next installment of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights tonight will feature a Featherweight bout between Javier “El Abejon” Fortuna and Cristobal “Lacandon” Cruz. Joe Tessitore and Teddy Atlas will be ringside for ESPN2 HD and ESPN3, while studio host Bernardo Osuna will present all the latest news and highlights. Alex Pombo and Delvin Rodriguez will call the fights for ESPN Deportes’Viernes de Combates with Leopoldo Gonzalez and Pablo Viruega in the studio. Action begins at 10:00p.m. ET. HBO Boxing After Dark Has Twin Bill- HBO Sports will feature two bouts as part of its Boxing After Dark series. Nonito Donaire will take on Jeffrey Mathebula and Kelly Pavlik battles Will Rosinsky beginning Saturday at 10:00p.m. ET. Bob Papa, Max Kellerman and Roy Jones Jr. will be ringside for the event.
