Rachel Nichols to Serve as Sideline Reporter for ESPN MNF Nightcap- ESPN has announced that Rachel Nichols will serve as the sideline reporter for the second of the network’s two Monday Night Football openers on September 10th. She will be paired with Chris Berman and Trent Dilfer on the telecast.
Former Eagle Westbrook Joins SiriusXM Radio- SiriusXM Radio has announced the hiring of former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook as a football analyst. Westbrook will made his debut today on Movin’ The Chains on SiriusXM NFL Radio Channel 88.
CBS Sports Network Inks Deal with UFL- CBS Sports and the United Football League has signed a deal which will result in the telecast of games on the CBS Sports Network (CBSSN). CBSSN will televise two games per week every Wednesday and Friday live throughout the UFL’s eight-week season, culminating with the Championship game in late November. Coverage begins Wednesday, September 21st.
NBCSN Has Two MLS Matches This Weekend- The NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will feature two primetime MLS matches this weekend. Saturday’s match will feature the L.A. Galaxy at FC Dallas at 8:00p.m. ET while on Sunday night at 7:00p.m. ET the New England Revolution travel to Philadelphia to take on the Union. John Strong will handle play-by-play, tjoined by analyst Brian Dunseth. Ron Burke will serve as studio host on site in Dallas on Saturday and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic’s Brent Harris will serve as studio host live on-site from PPL Park in Philadelphia, Pa., on Sunday.
24/7 Road to Ward/Dalton Debuts on HBO August 25th- HBO Sports will be producing its next boxing behind-the-scenes documentary series, this time featuring the super middleweight title fight between Andre Ward and Chad Dawson. 24/7 Road to Ward/Dalton will debut on HBO August 25th at midnight ET. The fight will also air on HBO September 8th.
Lucas Oil Off Road Racing on CBS- CBS Sports Spectacular will provide Round Eight coverage of the 2012 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series as it broadcasts Lucas Oil Off Road Pro2 Sunday at 1:00p.m. ET fromMiller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Ken Stout, Cameron Steele, Jeremy McGrath, Rob Klepper and Erin Bates call the action for CBS Sports.
