Lots of locals make the all-state girls softball team, including four from Liberty

The Pennsylvania Softball Coaches Assocation, with input from writers from around the state, has released its all-state team for the recently completed 2012 season. The selections include more than 20 ladies from The Morning Call area.
Those honored include:
Class 4A First Team
Parkland shortstop Taryn Zeitlow, who hit .545.
Morgan Decker, CB South, who is headed to Lehigh.
Liberty outfielder Mariah Kondravy, the Morning Call's player of the year, who hit.517.
Class 4A Second Team
Freedom infielder Kelsey Brandle, who hit .484.
Whitehall shortstop Madison Kelly.
Emmaus third baseman Emily Hockman.
Liberty first baseman Katie Souders.
Class 4A Honorable Mention
Liberty pitcher Erin Wilson.
Easton shortstop Chelsea Quinn.
Liberty shortstop Alyshia Dellatore.
Northampton pitcher Marly Laubach.
Class 3A First Team
Saucon Valley shortstop Arastina Barry, who hit .591 with 36 stolen bases.
Saucon Valley third baseman Jessica Mowrey, who hit .534 with 32 RBIs.
Class 3A second team
Southern Lehigh outfielder Alyssa Herr, who hit .477
Bethlehem Catholic pitcher Joelle Morey, who hit .521 and went 10-6 with a 1.04 ERA as a pitcher.
Bethlehem Catholic outfielder Lauren Visconti, who hit .418.
Southern Lehigh pitcher, Katie Tankred.
Class 3A honorable mention
Becahi infielder Jackie DeSarro.
Class 2A first team
Palmerton outfielder Michelle Rickert.
Class 2A second team
Pen Argyl second baseman Kassy Beckage, who hit .394.
