Connie Stambaugh out as Pius X High School athletic director

http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/07/connie_stambaugh_out_as_pius_x.html FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES Connie Stambaugh confirmed on Thursday she is no longer athletic director at Pius X High School. Stambaugh, who held the position for seven years, said the school has merged the Dean of Students and athletic director positions, which will be headed by Joe Disidore. "I'm no longer the AD," said Stambaugh, also a biology teacher at the school. "I got a call on Monday, not even face-to-face. It was sort of a surprise." Stambaugh said she preferred not to comment further, forwarding questions to new principal Dr. Anthony Ingenito and "the new regime." Ingenito, who was approved by Diocese of Allentown Bishop John Barres as new principal in mid-May, officially succeeded the retired Jim Angeline effective July 1. Ingenito said Thursday he has a lot of "fantastic initiatives" planned for Pius X with support of the community. As far as consolidating these positions? "It's really a dead issue," he said, also stating it was "in place before I came in." Angeline, who stepped down after five years in charge of his alma mater, said otherwise Thursday night. "That was effective July 2," Angeline said. "My last day was June 30. I didn't have a Dean of Students, I ran the school myself. I had a good working relationship with her (Stambaugh)."
