Bath, behind Ed Albertson's shutout, reaches championship game of Region 2 American Legion baseball tournament

Bath (28-4), which was routed 11-3 by Doylestown Saturday in its first game of the tournament, needs to beat the Tigers again later this afternoon to become the first Northampton County League team to win a Region 2 championship since Northampton won back-to-back crowns in 1995-96. Albertson, a right-handed rising senior at Liberty High School, threw 111 pitches while giving up singles only to Dylan Glassmore with one out in the fifth inning and Clay Sebesky with one out in the ninth. Doylestown (29-7-2), the Bux-Mont League champion, entered the game undefeated in the tournament with 16 wins in a row overall.
