Lepchenko, of South Whitehall Township, is ranked 63rd and was the last U.S. singles player left in the men's or women's draw at Roland Garros. She picked up surprising victories over 2010 French Open champion Francesca Schiavone and former No. 1 Jelena Jankovic but couldn't handle Kvitova, who needed only an hour to wrap things up.
