The Tennis Channel at the French Open

http://sportsmediajournal.com/ The Tennis Channel is preparing for its extensive coverage of Roland Garros, the 2012 French Open Championships. The network plans on over 250 hours of coverage from Paris, 59 hours of which will be devoted to live matches. The network will also air almost two dozen hours of encore men’s and women’s singles semifinal and championship telecasts as part of its programming format. Tennis Channel will also produce 36 hours of its special French Open Tonight studio program. Bill Macatee will serve as host. Ted Robinson, Ian Eagle and Brett Haber will handle play-by-play of tournament matches. Hall-of-Fame analysts Martina Navratilova and John McEnroe will be the featured analysts. They’ll be joined by Justin Gimelstob, Rennae Stubbs and Sports Illustrated‘s Jon Wertheim. Tennis Channel Court Report host Cari Champion will maintain increasingly expanding social media duties.
