http://sportsmediajournal.com/ NBC Sports has two Stanley Cup Playoff Games Tonight- Two game threes of the second round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs will be on tape tonight. At 7:30p.m. ET Doc Emrick, Eddie Olczyk and Pierre McGuire will call the New York Rangers at Washington Capitals on NBC Sports Network. CNBC will have coverage of the Phoenix Coyotes at the Nasville Predators with John Forslund and Joe Micheletti at the mic. Fox and ESPN See Ratings Success with Soccer- Both Fox Sports and ESPN report that recent soccer matches have been audience rated winners. Last week’s UEFA Champions League Semi-Final matches had an average audience of over one million viewers, up 29% over a year ago. Monday’s Premier League battel between Manchester City and Manchester United gavve ESPN an average audience of over one million viewers, making it the most-watched Premiership telecast on U.S. cable television. CBS Sets Date for LSU/Arkansas- It’s never too early to talk SEC football. CBS today announced that this season’s LSU at Arkansas contest will be telecast the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 23rd, at 2:30p.m. ET. Re remainder of CBS’ SEC schedule will be released at a later date. Hornets Head Coach Joining NBA TV as Guest Analyst- NBA TV has announced that Hornets head coach Monty Williams will serve as a guest analyst o NBA TV’s Game Time this Thursday and Friday. Williams will join host Vince Cellini and analyst Dennis Scott at 6:00 p.m. ET. On Friday, Williams will join host Matt Winer and analyst Steve Smith at 7:oo p.m. ET. Minor League Baseball Debuts Next Week on MLB Network- MLB Network will begin televising minor league baseball contests beginning next week. All games will feature the Triple A clubs in the International LEague. The first game will be May 10th at 11:05 a.m. ET as the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (Phillies) take on the Indianpolis Indians (Pirates). Philadelphia at Seattle this Week’s MLS Game on NBCSN- This Saturday’s MLS Game of the Week will feature the Philadelphia Union at Seattle Sounders FC. Kick-off is 4:30p.m. ET with Arlo White and Kyle Martino calling the came and Paul Burmeister handling pre game, halftime, and post game duties. Former Gators QB Leak Joins SiriusXM- SiriusXM Radio has announced that former Florida Gator QB Chris Leak has joined the network’s college sports channel. Leak will host College Sports Coast-to-Coast multiple nights each week with Chris Childers. The show can be heard nationwide weeknights (7:00 – 10:00 pm ET) on SiriusXM College Sports Nation, channel 91. CBS to Examine the Young Stars of the PGA Tour- This Saturday, May 5th at 2:30p.m. ET CBS Sports will present PGA TOUR 2012: Portraits presented by Mercedes-Benz, a close look at the rising stars on the PGA Tour and what makes them successful both on and off of the golf course. Featured players include: Bubba Watson, Webb Simpson, Kyle Stanley, Rory McIlroy , Dustin Johnson, Hunter Mahan and Keegan Bradley.
