Shakespeare Festival annual gala, begins at 6 p.m. June 2 in the University Center at DeSales University in Center Valley. The "evening of elegance and radiance" includes dinner, silent and special auctions, and entertainment by company members, including Broadway headliners William Michals and Dee Roscioli. The event also includes the presentation of the Will Shakespeare Award to this year's honoree, Joan Moran of Allentown. Attire is black-tie optional or "luminescent white." GARDEN GALA: The Good Shepherd Gala in the Garden will be held 6-11 p.m. June 2 in the Healing Gardens on Good Shepherd's south Allentown campus. This event benefits the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit. Food and beverage, fun and fellowship are the hallmark of this event where guests don black tie and sneakers/fun footwear attire. Entry fee is $250 per person and $2,500 for a table of eight. It begins with 9 a.m. registration at Tuskes Community Park on Route 248 in Upper Nazareth, followed by an 11 a.m. ride and a picnic at noon sponsored by Carrabba's Italian Grill. Cost is $20 per rider/passenger; $50 vendor spaces. Sponsorships available from $100-$2,000. There will be appearances by Lehigh Valley Rollergirls and Jerry D Entertainment will spin tunes.
