Nazareth Area High School girls lacrosse team upsets Emmaus, captures LVC title

A big first half powered the Nazareth Area High School girls lacrosse team to an upset victory over Emmaus, 10-8, in the Lehigh Valley Conference final at Andrew Leh Stadium.
"I'm so proud of my team because this was a team effort and they wanted this," Nazareth coach Jennifer Nolan said. "It took us a little while to play well (this season) -- we turned it on at the right moment."
Today's championship victory is the first time the Blue Eagles defeated the Green Hornets since the 2010 District 11 final.
Kaity Wiltraut paced Nazareth (13-7) with three goals. Natasha Capecci and Jordan Sutter each contributed a pair of goals apiece.
