Mayfair Festival brings art, music and food

http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/events/index.ssf/2012/05/mayfair_festival_2012.html FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES The annual food and fun festival, Mayfair, will be ongoing in Allentown's Cedar Beach Park through Monday night. Tickets cost $5 per day, but for $10, a pass can be purchased that covers the entirety of the event. All concerts are free with admission. Festival times for Sunday are noon to 11 p.m. The gates also open at noon on Monday, but close earlier at 7 p.m. Despite that there is just two days left of the festival, the potential of things to do is endless. Mayfair brings many vendors, artists and musicians to the Lehigh Valley ever year. Some highlighted vendors for this year are Artists at Heart, a handmade jewelry and pottery store; Georgie LeHoop, an artist who paints by dipping his drumsticks into paint and playing a rhythm on a canvas; Back Door Bakeshop, a bakery owned by Gail Lehman who lives in the Lehigh Valley; and Annie’s Pooch Pops, a gourmet dog treat company. Performances scheduled for Sunday and Monday include Alpine Express, the James Supra Blues Band, the Lehigh Valley Harmonizers, The Paisley Pickles, Riverside Jazz Explosion, Shake, Rattle & Soul, the Pine Valley Rhythm Jumpers, and Parrotbeach.
