Female contestants, ages 14-17 (by Aug. 7), must live in Carbon County or West Penn Township, Schuylkill County. Contestants will be judged based on an essay, personal interview and speech presentation. The winner will be crowned at 4 p.m. Aug. 7 at the fair, Little Gap Road, Palmerton.
