FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES
For some students and directors, the Freddy Awards is a fight that has raged for months.
Twenty-nine high schools in Lehigh, Northampton and Warren counties have competed for awards that honor the best in musical theater.
The 10 year-old award program started at 6:30 p.m. tonight at The State Theatre. We'll be updating the award winners and photos throughout the night, so check back and refresh your page frequently.
Two Freddy Awards were named during the May 10 nomination ceremony and will be presented during tonight's pre-show.
Katie Fritchman, of Nazareth Area High School, won the Student Achievement Award which includes a paid summer internship at The Express-Times. Warren Hills Regional High School won the Educational Impact award for “Legally Blonde.”
