Saucon Valley uses big first inning to cruise past Freedom in independent softball

Arastina Barry went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs and Kelly Schreder hit a two-run home run in a ten-run first inning to power Saucon Valley past Freedom 14-5 in an independent softball contest.

Freedom's Carly Deichman hit a three-run home run in the second inning as the Patriots eventually cut the Panthers big lead in half.

Saucon Valley put the game out of reach with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Panthers improve to 5-2 on the season while Freedom falls to 1-6.
