FROM KEITH GROLLER
Delaware Valley sophomore softball player Jackie Wear (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) is having a year to remember for the Aggies. She has started 26 games (shortstop and catcher) and is batting .489 (45-for-92) with 15 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 19 stolen bases, 28 runs scored and 20 RBIs. She leads the team in hits, runs doubles, triples and stolen bases and is second in average, slugging (.804), home runs and RBIs.
Wear’s 15 doubles has already broken tJackie Wearhe school’s single-season record of 14 (Katie Leach, 2005). She is three hits (47 by Lorie Kochanski in 1995) and six runs (33 by Stephanie McCormick in 1995) shy of breaking those single-season school records and the team has five doubleheaders (10 games) remaining.
DelVal is 12-15 overall and 2-8 in the Freedom Conference.
