Surprising Wilson held off Southern Lehigh 3-2 on Saturday night to ruin Spartans coach Brian Neefe's bid for his 700th career victory.
That game was the final of four Colonial League "Play Day" softball games on Saturday at Pates Park.
Earlier in the day, Northern Lehigh beat Bangor 1-0 on a one-hitter by Kaelah Horwath and a RBI single by Cassie Toth.
Salisbury routed Palisades 15-0 in three innings. Kaitlyn Stokes had the only Pirates hit in the game, while Meghan Williams went 3-for-3 and knocked in two runs for the Falcons.
In a battle of probable playoff teams, Pen Argyl edged Northwestern 4-3 as Kassy Beckage knocked in three runs and winning pitcher Emily Smull held off a Northwestern rally. The Green Knights survived four errors.
Looking more and more likely that your four Colonial League playoff teams will be Pen Argyl, Northwestern, Palmerton and Saucon Valley.
The Panthers lost today, by the way, dropping a nonleague game to Lehighton by a 9-7 score.
Neefe, in his 42nd season, will get another crack at No.700 on Monday when his team plays Notre Dame at Center Valley.
