Matt Wiseley makes his college decision

Emmaus standout Matt Wiseley, an all-league and all-area boys basketball player, has committed to continue his career Division II West Chester.Wiseley

Wiseley, a 6-foot-7 senior, had narrowed his choices to Division III DeSales and West Chester.

He averaged 11.5 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and four blocks per game. His best performance was in the Lehigh Valley Conference title game against Freedom when he had 17 points, 19 rebounds and six blocks.

Wiseley, who missed most of his junior season due to injury, is the second local player to commit to a PSAC school. Freedom's Joe Lococo earlier committed to Shippensburg.

He will be honored on Saturday's all-area boys basketball radio show, heard from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on AM1470, the Fox, and fox1470.com. The show will be broadcast from Stooges in Allentown. Stellar Construction and Frantz Trophies are the sponsors.
