I have not talked to anybody at Parkland about it yet, but the news elsewhere on this website talking about the tragic death of Dave Davis in some kind of a scooter accident has to be a big blow to many in the Parkland sports community. Davis, who owned the beautiful Willow Tree Grove, was a great friend to Parkland coaches and administrators. He was also a close friend of Central Catholic boys basketball coach Rich Fatzinger. Many Parkland banquets were held there as well as Parkland Alumni functions. He was a proud member of the Parkland Alumni Club. Davis remained a very loyal Parkland fan and supported all of the teams. He also made his place available for various Lehigh Valley Conference functions. He had a first-class establishment and was a friend to many in the local sports community. He will be missed.
