Sports Media Digest- February 7, 2011

TNT To Unveil NBA All-Star Reserves- Prior to this week’s scheduled NBA double header, TNT will have the exclusive announcement of the reserves for the 2012 All-Star Game. Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal will unveil the rosters beginning at 7:00p.m. ET. Thursday’s twin bill will feature the Lakers at Celtics at 8:00p.m. ET followed by the Thunder at Kings at 10:30p.m. Marv Albert, Mike Fratello Steve Kerr, and Craig Sager will be in Boston while Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller, Chris Webber, and Cheryl Miller will be in Sacramento.

Play 4 Kay Women’s Basketball on ESPN- For the sixth year ESPN is supporting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund(r), in partnership with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, for women’s cancer by coordinating the Play 4Kay women’s basketball games on Sunday, Feb. 12 and Monday, Feb. 13. Regional action will air on ESPN2 beginning at 2:30p.m. ET with the following; Marquette at DePaul, Miami at Maryland, Iowa State at Texas Tech, Arkansas at Auburn and West Virginia at Notre Dame (3:30p.m. ET on ESPNU). Regional play continues at 5:00p.m. ET with St. John’s at Rutgers, Florida at South Carolina, Purdue at Ohio State, and Wake Forest at North Carolina State. The whole country will see the double header on Monday on ESPN2 with Kentucky at Tennessee at 7:00p.m. ET followed by UConn at Oklahoma at 9:00p.m. ET.

CBS Sports Network has College Hoops Double Header Tomorrow- The CBS Sports Network will televise a college basketball double header tomorrow night. The opener will feature Rhode Island at Xavier beginning at 7:00p.m. with Roger Twibell and Steve Lappas on the call. Dave Ryan and Pete Gillen will be on hand to call Tulsa at UTEP at 9:00p.m. ET.

Lou Henson Next Big Ten Icon- The Big Ten Network will profile former Illinois basketball head coach Lou Henson in the next edition of its Big Ten Icons program. The profile, hosted by Keith Jackson, will air at 10:30p.m. ET, following the Illinois-Indiana men’s basketball game.
