Evernham Rejoins ESPN NASCAR Crew- Famed NASCAR crew chief Ray Evernham has been hired by ESPN to re-join its NASCAR coverage. Evernham will be in Daytona as part of the network’s coverage of the opening of the NASCAR season. He will be an analyst on NASCAR Countdown for many of the 17 NASCAR Sprint Cup races that will appear on ESPN networks in the second half of the season. In addition to his work on NASCAR Now and SportsCenter, he will help call several NASCAR Nationwide Series races from the booth. Evernham was a NASCAR analyst for ESPN from 2008 to 2010.

30 Clubs in 30 Days Returns to MLB Network- As camps begin opening around Major League Baseball, the MLB Network will once again be proeducing its 30 Clubs in 30 Days series, giving fans a preview of each MLB team from their Spring Training homes. Coverage begins Monday, March 5th at 5:00p.m. ET with MLB Network analysts Sean Casey, Al Leiter, Kevin Millar, Dan Plesac, Harold Reynolds, John Smoltz and Mitch Williams reporting from all of the 30 Spring Training camps throughout Arizona and Florida.

Golf Channel Sees Record Ratings for its Coverage of Pebble Beach Pro-Am- The big ratings for last week’s PGA AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am were not limited to CBS. The Golf Channel registered its highest ratings in its 17 year history from early coverage of Sunday’s final round. Its Sunday lead-in from 1:oopm-2:30p.m. ET earned a rating of 2.1, with an audeince of 2.3 million viewers.

Big Ten Network Partners with Verizon for BTN2Go- The Big Ten Network (BTN) is working with Verizon in offering BTN2Go, a multiplatform version of the sports network to customer of Verizon FiOS. BTN2Go features a live feed of all BTN television programming, including live game telecasts and Extra Football Game Channels, part-time channels available on football Saturdays when BTN airs more than one game simultaneously. BTN2Go viewers also have on-demand access to BTN’s deep video archive. Verizon FiOS customers will be able to view BTN2Go via the Interbet or on iPad or iPhone apps.
