Hecktown Volunteer Fire Co. responded to 30 incidents in January

The Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company last month responded to about 30 incidents and lodged 309 hours, Lower Nazareth Township supervisors reported Wednesday.

The incidents included seven service calls, four rescue calls, two vehicle fires, one structure fire and six dwelling fires. The fire company also responded to about 20 non-emergencies in January, lodging 355 man hours for those responses, according to the report.

No firefighters were injured during the incidents, the report said.

The Hecktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. in January responded to 61 calls, including 22 advanced life support incidents and 16 basic life support incidents.

The report states one part-time staff member has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation he/she violated company policies. Another part-time staffer has filed worker's compensation for a minor muscle strain in their right arm, the report stated.
