Freedom High School has made Michael O'Connell its new boys soccer coach, according to a news release today.
O'Connell, who played collegiate soccer and was a four-year letter-winner at Lehigh University, replaces Karl Peters, who led the Patriots to a 4-13-1 record in 2011.
O'Connell teaches at Nitschmann Middle School, according to the Bethlehem Area School District website, and was on the Lehigh coaching staff last season.
