A few years ago the Lehigh Valley lost TV sportscaster and all-around good guy Tom Leyden to Detroit and now another local sports personality and good guy is headed to the Motor City.
Eric Chase, who is the program director at extremely popular Top-40 FM station B104 and co-host of the "After Further Review" sports talk show on AM 1470, the Fox, is headed to Detroit to be program director and afternoon host on "1130 The Fan," WDFN. Chase, who previously worked in Detroit, has one more week left in the Lehigh Valley.
On a personal note, Chase was instrumental in bringing The Morning Call's "Calling All Sports" show to AM 1470, the Fox, on Saturday mornings and his consideration and professionalism in our dealings with him was always very much appreciated.
He will be missed on the local scene and I wish him well in Detroit.
