Dibilio steadily improving

FROM KEITH GROLLER

As prayers and get-well wishes continued to pour in on Saturday, former Nazareth Area High School star and Princeton University freshman Chuck Dibilio experienced considerable improvement as he recovered from a stroke.

According to Nazareth basketball coach Joe Arndt and others close to the family, the 19-year-old Dibilio had a positive day at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where he continued to recover from the stroke that was caused by a clot in the main artery of his brain.

In a post on Facebook on Saturday night, Chuck's mother, Bonnie Coyle Ronco, wrote: "It's been a great day! Chuckie is doing so well. Can hardly tell he was in bad shape 48 hrs ago. Speech much better. Strength nearly normal. Good spirits. Just said "mom I don't feel sick anymore!"

Philadelphia (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) Arndt said that Dibilio is much improved from Friday when he visited his former player in the hospital.

He is undergoing a battery of tests trying to determine the cause of the stroke that strickened him on Thursday night while he was on campus at Princeton.

There's a possibility that Dibilio, the Ivy League's Rookie of the Year after he rushed for more 1,000 yards fall, could leave intensive care for a regular hospital room on Sunday.
