PARTY FOR PIP THE MOUSE

Join Pip the Mouse and his puppet friends in the last performances of "The Mouse Before Christmas," part of "A Conestoga Christmas with Pip the Mouse" at the Liberty Bell Museum at Zion's Church in Allentown. Shows are at noon, 1 and 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday and a closing ceremony precedes the 2 p.m. show Saturday.

Talk with the puppeteers, bring a camera for photos, enjoy refreshments and more.

NEW YEAR'S EVE IN THE CITIES

Celebrate in Allentown with a free family-friendly outdoor party 8 p.m.-midnight in the 800 block of Hamilton Street and dressy gala inside the Holiday Inn (7 p.m.; $125 per person). The outdoor party includes live music, fire performers, ice carving, horse and carriage rides and more. A midnight bell drop is followed by fireworks to ring in the city's 250th anniversary year.

Celebrate in Bethlehem on the final day of Peeps Fest at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. Peeps Fest is free, but a special Family New Year's Eve party 1-4:30 p.m. in the Musikfest Cafe is $5, 18 and under; parents free. TARTAN TERRORS

North America's premier Celtic event returns to the Mauch Chunk Opera House Friday for a pre-New Year's Eve bash combining the best in music, comedy and dance. The show is at 8:30 p.m.; doors open at 7:30 p.m.
