Brittany Lee scored 21 points and Jamie Greene added 16 as North Warren captured its girls basketball holiday tournament this afternoon with a 60-32 victory over Notre Dame-East Stroudsburg.
The Patriots (3-3) went on a 14-1 run in the second quarter to break a 13-all tie and never looked back. Lee, the tourney MVP, had 10 of her points in the quarter.
"Brittany missed almost all of last season with a lacerated kidney," North Warren coach Jill Masker said. "It took her a while to get back into it. This was our first win against a team with a winning record. I think we're ready to start playing like we're capable of playing."
Angelica Bertola led NDES (6-2) with 13 points.
