Judy Collins to visit Mercantile Home in Easton

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

Judy Collins will visit downtown Easton 7 p.m. Dec. 17 for a talk on her life and career at Mercantile Home, 140 Northampton St., according to a news release.

She will sign copies of her memoir, "Sweet Judy Blue Eyes," children's book "When You Wish Upon a Star" and compact disc "Bohemian" after a 30-minute scheduled talk, the release says.

Collins' career in folk music has spanned from the '60s until today and has included collaborations with Crosby, Stills and Nash and Joan Baez.

Collins contributed to Mercantile Home's "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" Community Art Project when she was in Easton in November 2010 for a State Theatre performance.

The event is free, but tickets are required and are available at Mercantile Home. For more information call 610-258-4046 or visit www.mercantilehome.com.
