The Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Nassau Broadcasting today announced a three-year extension to their partnership, which began in 2009, that will make ESPN 1230-1320 AM the flagship station of IronPigs baseball through the 2014 campaign. Under the agreement, ESPN 1230-1320 AM will continue to be the Lehigh Valley's source for live play-by-play coverage of all IronPigs preseason, regular season and postseason games, including extensive pre-game and post-game coverage. Additional terms of the extension were not disclosed.
"We knew from our first agreement that aligning with the powerful letters 'E-S-P-N' would be the most efficient way to cater to the loyal and passionate baseball fans of the Lehigh Valley," said Matt Provence, IronPigs Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting. "And we've learned that our partners at ESPN Radio of the Lehigh Valley are equally committed to aiding those efforts as part of their dedication to the local sports scene."

The agreement also calls for ESPN 1230-1320 to broadcast the Triple-A All-Star Game along with the Triple-A National Championship Game for each of the next three seasons. In 2011, ESPN 1230-1320 carried all five IronPigs playoffs games - the first five in franchise history.
"The IronPigs have been the model of consistency throughout their existence and a wonderful representation of the Lehigh Valley," said Pat Lincoln, Director of Sales for Nassau Broadcasting. "We are extremely excited to continue our partnership and look forward to broadcasting their continued quest for a league championship on the airwaves of ESPN Radio of the Lehigh Valley."
Added ESPN 1230-1320 AM Program Director Tom Fallon: "We look forward to bringing the excitement of IronPigs baseball to our listeners for years to come."
ESPN 1230-1320 AM's signal reaches Lehigh, Northampton and Warren Counties with a potential to reach 642,000 adult listeners in the region. In addition, the IronPigs broadcasts will be accessible online at www.espnlv.com, www.ironpigsbaseball.com and via the club's Smartphone applications available for iPhone and Android devices.
ESPN 1230-1320 AM is dedicated to local sports coverage, with exclusive coverage of Lehigh University football, basketball and wrestling as well as "The Happy Hour" -- a popular daily call-in sports show. In addition to being a local sports leader, ESPN 1230-1320 AM carries live play-by-play coverage of New York Giants football as well as the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl and provides commentary and coverage of the entire NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament every March.
