Colonial Regional police investigate Lower Nazareth Township robbery

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A truck driver from Wilkes-Barre was robbed this morning outside the Wawa on Route 248 in Lower Nazareth Township, Colonial Regional police said.

The victim, Stanley Tuzinsky Jr., parked his truck about 5:30 a.m. along Route 248 before visiting the convenience store, police said. While walking back to his truck he was approached by two men, one of whom indicated he had a gun, police said. But authorities said no actual gun was displayed during the robbery.

Tuzinsky struggled with the two men, but they knocked him to the ground and stole his wallet, containing about $400, police said. Tuzinsky suffered minor injuries in the encounter, police said.

The robbers fled in a dark-colored, two-door vehicle, according to police. The robbers are described as Hispanic, in their 20s with stocky builds. They were wearing dark clothing, police said.

Police ask anyone with information on the robbery to call Sgt. Michael Melinsky at 610-861-4820.
