Allentown native Amanda Seyfried to portray Linda Lovelace in upcoming biopic

Allentown native Amanda Seyfried will portray 1970s adult film star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming film, "Lovelace," according to ABCNews.com.

Seyfried is a 2003 graduate of William Allen High School and has appeared in such films as "Mean Girls," "Jennifer's Body," "Red Riding Hood," "Mamma Mia!" and most recently, "In Time," opposite Justin Timberlake.

Actress Juno Temple and actor Wes Bentley recently joined the cast of "Lovelace," a film that has been plagued with delays. Peter Sarsgaard and Sharon Stone will also star in the film, playing Lovelace's first husband and mother, respectively.

Troubled Hollywood star and "Mean Girls" co-star Lindsay Lohan was originally set to play the "Deep Throat" actress. Kate Hudson was also rumored to play the part.

The film does not have a scheduled release date at this time.
