AMERICA ON WHEELS Allentown needs the following volunteers: servers at the '50's Cafe counter; assistant for the Toys for Tots Holiday Train; gift shop and admissions assistants; and a floater to help wherever needed. CELEBRATE ALLENTOWN'S 250TH ANNIVERSARY needs volunteers for the planning committee, sales, office support, and fundraising or to share a talent such as photography or music during an event. The city will celebrate its anniversary in 2012. Contact: Tara Craig, 610-437-7530, craigt@allentowncity.org.

DOWNTOWN BETHLEHEM ASSOCIATION needs volunteers for its Christmas City Village, an outdoor market. Village ambassadors and hut volunteers are needed to greet visitors, hand out information, assist vendors and to sell calendars and other merchandise. Entertainment groups are also need. Minimum age: 18. Volunteer times are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 25 through and including Dec. 24. Coopersburg FLINT HILL FARM EDUCATIONAL CENTER, Coopersburg is looking for volunteers to serve as tour guides for farm tours from 8:30-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-3 p.m. a few days a month to assist with school groups touring the farm. LIBERTY BELL SHRINE MUSEUM, Allentown needs puppeteers and greeters for its "Mouse before Christmas" puppet show, featuring Pip the Mouse. The show will be held six days a week from Nov. 17 to Dec. 31. Help is also needed in planning the theme, marketing the program and contacting schools. SIXTH STREET SHELTER, Allentown needs individuals or groups to help with its bulk mailings in mid-January and mid-April. Duties include inserting remittance envelopes into mailings, sealing, and affixing mailing labels. No training is required; instructions will be provided with each mailing. UNITED WAY of the GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem is moving to a new location on Dec. 15 and needs volunteers to prime and paint the third floor walls at its old location. Volunteers are needed 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 20-22 or Dec. 27-29. Please specify which time frame you prefer when registering to help with this task. No training is required.
