Meyers switches gears at Pen Argyl

FROM THE MORNING CALL

Jeff Meyers resigned recently as the head boys soccer coach at Pen Argyl High School, and will be spending more time with family -- his father.

Meyers will join his father George's staff as the girls JV coach beginning in the spring. This setup is not new. Jeff Meyers was an assistant to George Meyers until taking over the boys program four years ago.

The Green Knights went 3-14-1 this year and were 20-51-2 in Meyers' four seasons as head coach. Meyers said another reason for moving toward the girls program is that he and his father both coach girls' club teams in the offseason, and syncing their efforts made logistical sense.
